I had some of the photos of Ava collecting her twigs printed today at the local photographic shop. I have to say I was super disappointed with them. The colours were all muted and not as vibrant and the whites were all blown, just plain horrid. If these were for my own walls instead of the preschool I would never ever have had them printed anywhere else apart from with my professional print lab. I can see the lure of getting your photos printed from a machine in a local shop – 50p per print and done in 30 minutes. But, please please please, if you value your professional photos please have them printed with a professional lab. You’ll have to wait for them but the wait is so worthwhile. You can tell from Ava’s face that she isn’t happy with them either. If you want to see what the colours should look like then have a peep at Day 274.
