Sarah and Ben got married at the Beautiful Threave Estate in Dumfries and Galloway in the gardens with the house as the gorgeous backdrop to their ceremony, and boy did the sun shine for them that day!
Sarah and her family got ready at her parents house in Dumfries while Ben and his best man got ready at the historic Greengate B&B in the pretty town of Kirkcudbright. Ben and his guests were brought to the wedding by vintage bus while Sarah and her father arrived in her Uncle’s amazing car.
They married with an emotional tying of the knot ceremony and afterwards we sneaked off for the bridal portraits in the gardens whilst their guests relaxed with champagne and canapés and Ben’s stepfather entertained them by playing the piano.
Before heading to the reception Ben and Sarah were showered with confetti made from Bougainvillea dried and sent over from Ben’s father’s house in Spain which Sarah and her bridesmaids cut up on the morning of the wedding.
Later on their guests were treated to some of the best and funniest speeches I’ve ever heard and dined on roast ham, giant pork pies and tasty new potatoes, the meal being completed with picnic baskets on the table, before dancing the night away.
Congratulations to Sarah and Ben, here’s to the best adventure you’ll go on together.
