Project 365 – Day 153 – 2nd June 2013

Here are a few things I learned at the safari park today:

  1. If you really want to take photos of the animals in their oh so unnatural settings (remind yourself you are not in Africa but still in Scotland, albeit  on a sunny day) then take along a long lens as it seems nigh on impossible to get near to any of the animals without either your car, the fences or other people in the way.
  2. Children are far more interested in playing, going on boat rides and seeing the animals than being in pictures, and get bored and fed up easily having to queue to get on said boat ride.
  3. Sometimes you need to just leave the camera at home and focus on having fun rather than taking photos that will languish on a hard drive never to see the light of day again.

Having said all that, we had a great day out at Blair Drummond Safari Park, I just didn’t take many pictures.
